Cool Cycling Caps

Heating and cooling problems?!!!?
My 1994 Camaro, 3.4 liter V6, constantly osalates between 180 degrees to about 215 degrees. When i crank the car it heats to 180ish like normal then begins to heat to 215 when at rest, then the fan comes on and cools the motor back to 180ish (remians at 185 degrees while driving down the road) and then begins to heat again (only when sitting still), and repeats this cycle the entire time the car is running. Is this the way it should do, and if not will it hurt my car?? We have replaced the water pump and all the radiator hoses, radiator cap, and thermostat.
sound,s as though your temperature Gage may be slightly off……it should register….195* F…to 210* F……your fan should only come on when at the upper temperature limit…..it is normal for it to cycle….especially while driving……while moving….air will pass through your radiator…keeping it cool….but at an idle….you don’t have that air flow….so your fan will turn on to continue cooling…..this is regulated by a sensor in your radiator…..your system,s sound,s to be performing normally….with the exception of your reading,s…..but they seem to be close enough…..if it ever go,s over your 215* mark….then I,d be concerned…..but I believe your system is functioning normally.
